For the 11th year in a row, the biggest gaming industry exhibition for Central and Eastern Europe is attracting international and Bulgarian companies. On 21 and 22 November, in Inter Expo Center, Sofia, the Balkan Exhibition of the Gaming and Entertainment industry (BEGE) will continue to support the region’s development as a technological center, follow trends in the industry and continue to amaze its visitors with its latest and improved initiatives.
This year, more than 90 companies from 35 countries in Europe, Asia and North America will take part, representatives of the industry from three continents, Angel Iribozov, chair of the MB of the Bulgarian Trade Association of Manufacturers and Operators in the Gaming Industry (BTAMOGI), emphasized during the opening ceremony. 20 new companies will present their products for the first time, he added. They will present products both for the traditional gaming sector and for online and mobile technologies and applications.
We expect BEGE to attract more than 4000 guests from Europe, Iribozov stated. BEGE is becoming not only the biggest exhibition for the Balkan region, but also among the leading ones in Europe, he added.
“Bridging the future” is the exhibition’s motto this year.
“The entertainment industry in the Balkan region has been developing further and further. Thanks to effective regulation and the focus on corporate social responsibility, Bulgaria has turned from an unnoticed character into a star in the sky of the gaming industry,” David Orok, director of industry relations, Merkur Gaming commented.
“Thanks to good regulation, we are able to make investments and open new horizons,” Gyorsel Kyorov, director general of the group Princess Ramada, Sofia and Ramada Plazza, Gevgelija, Republic of Macedonia.
BEGE has turned from a pioneer into a leader in its field, a driving force for new business opportunities for the Bulgarian gaming business and entertainment industry from all over Europe.
Like last year, this year BEGE will also highlight the startups in the sector. Any startup from the gaming and entertainment industry can take part in Gaming Startup Challenge – 3.0.
The practice introduced at the exhibition last year, for innovations in the industry to be allocated a special area, remains and the Sales Pitch Zone project, which proved to be extremely successful, is expanding. Everybody has the opportunity to make a short, 15-minute presentation of their product portfolio, thus expanding the scope of their marketing message.
During the first day of the exhibition, the traditional contest for the most beautiful face of the gaming industry Miss Gaming BEGE will be held.
